Fair questions, straight answers.
Everything people ask before, during and after a Burvic project, in one place. If yours isn’t here, ask us directly.
Cost & payment.
How much does a website cost?
Most Burvic sites land between $1,000 and $5,000 depending on size and features. You'll get a fixed quote before we start, and it won't move unless the scope does. See the pricing page for package details.
Why "from" prices?
Because a 5-page brochure site and a 5-page site with a booking engine are different jobs. After one call we'll give you an exact fixed number, and that's the number you pay.
Are there payment plans?
Yes. Standard terms are 40% to start, 40% at design approval, 20% at launch. For Launch packages we also offer three equal monthly payments.
What's not included?
Third-party costs you'd own anyway: your domain name, paid plugins or apps you choose, and ad spend. We'll flag any of these before you commit to them.
Do I own the website?
Completely. Code, content, design files and accounts are yours from the day the final invoice is paid. No hostage situations here.
Timing & process.
How long will my website take?
A typical business site launches in 3 to 6 weeks from kickoff. Ecommerce and custom projects usually run 6 to 10 weeks. We agree the date up front and we hit it.
Where does the launch guarantee stand?
If we miss the launch date we agreed in writing and the reason is ours, you get 10% of the total project fee back. Delays caused by late content or approvals move the date instead. The full wording is on the terms page.
Do you work with businesses outside Sydney?
All the time. Everything from kickoff to design reviews to training runs perfectly well over video calls, wherever you are in Australia.
After launch.
Can I update the site myself?
Yes. Every build comes with an editor you can actually use, plus a training session for your team. If you'd rather never touch it, our care plans include content updates.
What happens after launch?
You're not left on your own. Care plans cover hosting, backups, security and support tickets answered the next business day, or same-day on a Growth plan. Out of plan, you can still open a ticket any time.
What do care plans cost?
Care is $50 a month: hosting, SSL, daily backups, updates, uptime monitoring and next-day tickets. Growth is $125 a month and adds two hours of content changes, SEO health checks, quarterly reviews and same-day tickets. Both are optional and you can cancel any time.
Support.
The site looks broken after an update
Nine times out of ten it's your browser showing an old copy. Do a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) or open the page in a private window. If it still looks wrong, open a ticket with a screenshot.
Form emails aren't arriving
Check the spam and promotions folders first, and search for the sender address. If they're genuinely missing, tell us in the ticket roughly when the last one arrived so we can trace it.
I can't log in to edit my site
Use the password reset on your editor login page first. If the reset email doesn't come through, we can reissue access, just quote your site address in the ticket.
The site seems slow right now
Try loading it from your phone on mobile data. If it's fast there, the issue is likely your local network. If it's slow everywhere, mark your ticket high priority and we'll investigate straight away.
