Our target
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What this site does
- Works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring on every control and a skip link to the content.
- Uses real headings, landmarks, labelled form fields and an error summary that links to each problem.
- Keeps colour contrast at WCAG AA or better in both the light and dark themes; colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Sets body text in Figtree at 17 pixels with generous line spacing, and keeps line lengths short enough to read comfortably.
- Reflows to a single column at 320 pixels wide and zooms to 400% without losing content.
- Gives tap targets at least 24 by 24 pixels, and most at least 44 pixels.
- Turns animation off when your device asks for reduced motion. The site works fully without JavaScript.
How we test
Every page template is tested with axe-core automated checks against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules (including target size), at desktop and 320-pixel widths, in light and dark themes. We also test by hand with a keyboard, with zoom, and with reduced motion switched on. Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so we treat a clean result as a floor, not a finish line.
Known limitations
- Wide comparison tables on the pricing page scroll sideways on small screens. Each scrolling table can be reached and scrolled with the keyboard.
- The featured-work carousel on the home page can be moved with its buttons, dots or the keyboard, and stops moving when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Live client sites linked from our case studies are separate websites with their own accessibility.
